The Library Minecraft Club is open to children ages 6 – 12 and is hosted once a month. View the event sheet for upcoming Minecraft events. The event is held in the Children’s library at the computer area. The creative and building aspects of Minecraft allow players to build constructions out of textured cubes in a 3D procedural generated world. Other activities in the game include exploration, gathering resources, crafting, and designing. Minecraft offers a safe and educational game engine to incorporate into public libraries.

The library uses Minecraft: Education Edition to host the library club's events. This event does not require a fee, but space is limited and registration is required. For more information, or to register, contact the Children’s librarian, Carolina Conner, by email at carolina.conner@oclibrary.org
